A Message from the President
I hope everyone has had a great month. As National Cybersecurity Awareness Month is ending and the holidays draw near, I want to take a moment and say thank you to all of our members, elected leaders, and board members who have continued to participate in our monthly meetings, network, and provide input to make our chapter stronger.
It’s safe to say everyone is ready to get back to some level of normalcy after the past 19-20 months of isolation. We decided to try live meetings a few months back, only to have the Delta variant shut those plans down. However, as the infection rates have stabilized, we have decided to provide an in-person option for the November 4th chapter meeting. There is a seating limit to ensure proper social distancing. So, if you plan to attend in person, please be sure to register ASAP. Otherwise, you can join using Zoom. You can register here.
The meeting will take place at the Harbert Center in downtown Birmingham. We will have representatives from three companies sharing their thoughts and stories regarding Information Security. This will also be a joint meeting between Central Alabama ISSA, WiCys, and ISACA. We are hoping to see our meeting attendance return to pre-Covid days.
If there is anything we can do to help improve the membership experience, please feel free to reach out to us and provide input/feedback.
Willie Clemons
President
